Art Trades: A Cautionary Tale

Art trade with , it only took six or seven years to arrange it. I love drawing Nido characters, it's a win-win, and Nid is apparently 10 years old, and likely one of the very very few still existing Nido OCs from many moons ago. With that in mind, it's something of a joy to draw a character who's been around for so long, so I'm glad it finally happened.

That all said, this picture tells a very important lesson: No specific requests means odds are you're going to get something out of left field like this, if not something saccharine. I don't think anybody saw this coming, not even me. I think I thought about how Froakie uses Water Pulse in the anime and the rest drew itself. That Water Pulse was drawn from the ground up, for what it's worth, even if Nid is blocking some of it. '3' No fancy imported brushes or nothin', just defaults. , how's that for a "fiery" Nidoran? ; P And having drawn her, I kind of agree with what you said months back... she does look like she could be related to Nidorina Schneider, like a relative born in another country.

Oh! One more thing. Nid and Vapek aren't enemies, if anything I believe they're married, this picture is just in fun. I don't want people to get the wrong idea.
